Mary
A loan of $425 helps to buy more sacks of beans, millet, and maize to sell and earn income to sustain her business.
Mary's story
Mary is a 46-year-old mother with six dependents, including twins. She is married to a veterinary officer and lives together with her family in the rural areas of Mbarara.
She is a farmer and she grows seasonal crops such as bananas, beans, and millet, among others. She also has a small grocery store where she buys cereals from farmers directly and sells to the nearby cereal stores at a higher price.
Mary has had a challenge of limited sales due to limited stock. She therefore wants a loan to buy more sacks of cereals such as millet, maize, and beans to increase her sales and income to help her sustain her business in the next seasons.
