Farmerline's story
Founded in 2013, Farmerline is a Ghanaian social enterprise with a mission to create lasting profit for farmers by providing access to quality inputs, farm assets, access to credit, sales channels, and valuable climate resilience data and techniques that enable farmers to enhance their productivity, incomes, and livelihoods.
Farmerline will support over 360k farmers in West Africa by 2025 with training on Good Agro Practices and agro inputs. Recognized as one of TIME’s 100 Best Innovations, Farmerline’s technology solution Mergdata Intelligence provides access to timely information, market insights, soil health, forest tracking to combat deforestation, supply chain traceability, and more.
Kiva’s loan will be used to support 2,000 farmers in Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire with a complete bundle of farm services for smallholder farmers including credit to purchase high-quality fertilizer and seeds, free education on climate-smart training and access to international markets. This is Farmerline’s third loan through the Kiva Social Enterprise program, view their previous loan here.
