This communal bank is made up of a group of friends and neighbors who are seeking a way to get ahead and give their families better living conditions. They are also participating in the Poverty Elimination Program, fighting together to overcome their situation of poverty.
Among the members is Maria Elisa, who is married and is the mother of 2 children. Her children are her motivation to fight and exert herself every day. She mentions that her goal is to be able to give her children opportunities that neither she nor her husband were able to have.
Maria Elisa states that she has a retail business. She has a store where she works every day from very early in the morning, offering her customers all types of products. Her goal is to invest in her business so that she can improve it and gradually stock up with more products.
Maria Elisa is requesting this loan to buy beverages, bread, fruit, vegetables, canned goods, dairy products, and other items to sell.
