Sabougnouma Group's story

The smiling woman who holds the horn of a sheep is named Tafin. She is an uneducated livestock raiser, age 47, married to a farmer and mother of two children under 18 years old, not in school, living in a rural area.

Tafin's occupation consists of buying lean sheep, raising and fattening them for several months, and selling them for profit. After each sale, she can have 25,000 FCFA per sheep of net profit, and thanks to this, she contributes to the family expenses, above all for her children.

She has been in this business for ten years, in the course of which she has confronted difficulties such as animal illnesses and shortages of livestock feed. It is for this reason that she has asked for a loan from RMCR, with the goal of expanding her business and fattening her sheep well.

The loan will allow her to buy more sheep and livestock feed, as well as care for them, and her purchases and sales will be made in the market of another town. In the future, she wants to have several different livestock breeds at her disposal.
