Frontline World have confirmed that they will be airing their story on Kiva.org on October 31.
Frontline World have been filming a story on Kiva.org over the last month, shooting on two locations, San Francisco and Uganda in East Africa. The story includes the life-cycle of raising funds for a loan - following an entrepreneur in Uganda applying for a loan through a Field Partner right through to the day they receive the funds, as well as meeting some of the original borrowers who have fully repaid their loan through Kiva.org.
We're really excited that Frontline will be bringing the story of our entrepreneurs to television - giving us all a chance to see in color what happens on the ground. This is a great opportunity to share Kiva.org with your community - friends, social club, church group or class room (particularly for teachers using Kiva.org as a teaching tool in social studies classes).
Be sure to watch, tape or Tivo Frontline World's story on October 31, broadcast nationally through PBS on your local station. To find out scheduling details in your area click here and search for your local PBS station.
