Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

As a 1:1 coach and education coordinator, I encounter entrepreneurs at every stage of the business life cycle. I think it's important to provide support and encouragement to those business owners that demonstrate the drive and potential to succeed.

What is the mission of your organization?

​The Iowa Center is committed to empowering people to strengthen and stabilize their financial futures through business ownership and investment. It is our belief that to be successful in small business, entrepreneurs need support in three core areas: education, capital, and networking. We have built key programs that support these core areas and empower individuals to succeed, families to prosper, and communities to thrive. Success to us is people supporting themselves and their families through the execution of their own ideas.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

My due diligence would be based upon 1:1 meetings with the borrower, as well as attendance/participation in other Iowa Center classes and workshops or resources utilized from other institutions. I'm interested in the clients that are willing to put in the work and have the ability to stay on task, be organized and remain open to advice/constructive criticism.
