To help underserved businesses that are unable to qualify for traditional bank financing obtain access to business capital. To form a partnership with Kiva to bring them into markets that are in need of their unique financing services.

What is the mission of your organization?

Beaver Street Enterprise Center, Inc., works to stimulate economic growth through entrepreneurial development, serving primarily entrepreneurs of color and low-to-moderate-income individuals. To achieve this mission, the Enterprise Center recruits, trains and nurtures entrepreneurial talent to fuel growth, create wealth and encourage reinvestment in traditionally underserved communities.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

We will endorse borrowers that have successfully completed our business coaching program and shown their knowledge of business credit/financial literacy, budgeting and bookkeeping.
