Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?
The Latino Chamber of Commerce of Dane County (LCC) is interested in creating impact to our most disadvantage and historically divested communities. We believe that Small businesses and entrepreneurship is a crucial component in the creation of jobs and to further growth in our economic ecosystem. With a Kiva platform as a powerful tool to assist the people in our service area we will be able to make key economic strides and develop ongoing opportunities.
What is the mission of your organization?
The Latino Chamber of Commerce of Dane County exists to maximize economic development and job creation through advocacy and programs that generate success and value for our Latino and non-Latino business community.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?
The LCC has a strong commitment to serving the needs of low-income, vulnerable, and communities, through financial literacy and by connect our community to services that will assist in teaching creditworthiness. We currently have a designated staff member whom is responsible for the support of our business relationship with KIVA. As a lead business technical service provider to Dane county and to Wisconsin's rural communities, we will continue to support, train and provide on-going mentorship to Latino entrepreneurs creating dual language pipelines to have access to capital through Kiva.
