Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

At the Village, it is our mission to help small businesses grow and scale through education, cooperative investing and cooperative development. We have been able to help over 100 businesses in our community and would love to partner with KIVA to help even more businesses succeed, as small businesses provide so many necessary jobs and opportunities to our communities.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

We currently have a selection process that we use for our platform and cohorts. Through our cohorts, we have actually touched over 100 businesses that we can confidently endorse as borrowers. We will score potential borrowers with our rubric which includes a business model canvas audit and financial audit.
