Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

Why Interested in being a Trustee: We are interesting in becoming a trustee because we believe we will add value to the borrowers in our pipeline by helping them hustle, grow, and succeed in their industry. Kiva is one of the programs we lead in PR to help local small business owners in the island have access to capital. We are a trustee looking to endorse and work with small business owners from the creative industries.

What is the mission of your organization?

Causa Local's mission through Causa Creativa is to disrupt the access to capital ladder by adding non-traditional, innovative, and data driven access to capital platforms and programs to entrepreneurs from the creative industries. In addition, to capital we want to be more sustainable.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

Our due diligence is based on the relationships we have with our borrowers before inviting them to request a Kiva loan, in addition to our educated decisions made based on over +3 years of experience in working with small business owners. Causa Creativa is a branch of Causa Local for the local arts.
