To encourage and promote local entrepreneurs. We believe entrepreneurs are the key to achieving our communities' long term goals toward community sustainability.

What is the mission of your organization?

To empower our citizenry and local leaders by the promotion and implementation of integrated solutions in dealing with social, environmental, and economic issues that affect our community.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

We will look to endorse local borrowers whose projects are sustainable. We will only endorse individuals who have a track record with community involvement via Sustainable Connellsville or other local groups. Local borrowers will have to present their concept at a Sustainable Connellsville open meeting for the members to vote on and decide if it and they are worthy of our endorsement. The individual members will not be voting to endorse the borrower and concept. Their vote will be a pledge to support and promote both the idea and individual. After this we will work with the endorsed borrower to assist them in their presentation and meeting the requirements established by Kiva Zip. Endorsed borrowers will be required to furnish monthly updates on their progress. These monthly reports will be recorded into our monthly minutes.
