Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

To support our small business members as they work to grow their businesses and in enhance opportunities for the surrounding neighborhoods.

What is the mission of your organization?

The El Cajon Boulevard Business Improvement Association is an association of local businesses committed to improving the physical and economic conditions along the El Cajon Boulevard corridor and its surrounding neighborhoods in Mid-City San Diego.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

Our association will look closely at the business plan of the borrower, and what they plan to to spend the money on. Then, considering our business district of over a 1000 businesses, and the consumer power of the surrounding communities, we will decide the likelihood their business we see economic gains from spending their borrowed money in the way they intend. If we determine it is likely for their business to grow as a result of the loan, and they demonstrate strong moral and ethical characteristics, we will ask them to present to our Board of Directors for a final approval. Once our Board of Directors approves them for an endorsement, we will be in regular contact with them up until the loan is paid back. We are prepared to work with them, and find solutions, if any unexpected circumstances arise that prevent them from making a payment on their loan.
