Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

LAUNCH supports entrepreneurs from underserved communities in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We provide training, mentoring, coaching and access to a variety of business resources. We have been exploring lending partners since our start in 2011. Most of our clients start small, bootstrap and build their businesses on sales. Traditional loans are rarely an option. Being a Kiva Zip Trustee allows us to provide a valuable, affordable lending option for our clients.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

We spend a minimum of six months getting to know borrowers on a personal level. We meet their family members, explore finances with them, discuss their personal and business history and most of all we get to know their character. After all this, we will only recommend the most qualified candidates for a Kiva Zip loan.
