Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

I am lucky to meet lots of wonderful people through my coffee shop, and am looking forward to encouraging folks to develop their ideas and make contributions to the community. Kiva has been an incredible experience for me, and I would love to see other people enjoy the same opportunity.

What is the mission of your organization?

We are a friendly neighborhood coffee shop. We seek to create an inviting atmosphere and encourage a sense of community.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

To make sure borrowers have a solid level of commitment to their project, I would love to see a business plan and talk through ideas and strategies. If I decide to endorse them I would make sure the relationship continues to be helpful while they work through starting or growing their business.
