- We do 10 microenterprise classes a year across the five county area, serving between 120 and 140 individuals a year. Kiva can help our clients fund their business ideas
- What is the mission of your organization?
- The mission of Goodwill SWFL is to serve people with disabilities and disadvantages by offering life-changing opportunities to achieve independence. The MicroEnterprise Institute does this by assisting individuals with a business idea or a start up business to develop a plan to guide that business with the help of business mentors
Borrower Due Diligence
- How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?
- Individuals have to graduate from our class, completing their business plan and then have the plan reviewed by an SBDC representative. They would also have to complete a personal financial review process with staff of the MicroEnterprise program in addition to meeting the Kiva requirments.
