Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

As a small business developer, I see the desperate need for this service and for the heart of Kiva Zip. As a Trustee, I can put my stamp of approval on businesses that I work with on a near daily basis.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

We look closely at businesses everyday, so understanding which would be successful and which ones won't is something I'm fairly familiar with. We are by no means a 100% successful effort, but we certainly understand what it takes to start a small business. We look at the passion of the individual, how detailed their plan is, whether they understand where their customers are coming from, and if they have a clear picture of their costs and revenue.
