Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

The Diamond Business Association strives to create opportunities for small local business owners to obtain loans for storefront improvement projects and in-store enhancements.

What is the mission of your organization?

Our mission is to enhance the growth and development of the Diamond Business Improvement District (DiamondBID) as well as the surrounding community of Southeastern San Diego; and to create partnerships between businesses, property owners and public and private entities that promote economic revitalization and renewal.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

Organization members in good standing with their business tax certificate (approximately 430 business members). We will evaluate how long they have been in business, hold an interview with the applicant and research their online presence and reputation. We receive a monthly report from the City of San Diego as the the standing of each member.
