Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

We provide Technical Assistance to low income Latino entrepreneurs in Oregon; some are ready to start up or grow their businesses but lack access to capital. Access to a micro loan from Kiva Zip will give them the boost they need.

What is the mission of your organization?

The holistic education and empowerment of low-income Latina women and their families. We encourage all participants to believe in themselves and commit to personal growth, to express solidarity with others, and to love and respect the Earth.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

The borrower will have completed the ten weeks seminar for Business Plan writing, and have her/his Business Plan written with the help of Adelante Empresas' coach, in order to help the borrower identify their business feasibility. Additionally the borrower will be a member of the Empresas businesses network in order to receive personal business coaching. The chosen borrowers will be those with the strongest business plans and business feasibility.
