Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

We are excited to help pay forward the guidance, mentorship and access to capital we received prior to opening our Market.

What is the mission of your organization?

We seek to provide access to healthy produce, locally made goods, minimally preserved and prepared foods as well as grocery staples. We also strive to build community among neighbors through volunteer initiatives and a community meeting space within the store.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

Prospective borrows will have an already established a rapport with 52nd Street Market either through product offerings or as an member of the Lawrenceville community. We will meet with them prior to agreeing to serve as their trustee to learn more about their business plan and how they will use a loan. We will ask for references if we feel it necessary.
