As a grateful recipient of Kiva Zip support for my own business, I would like the opportunity to help others access and receive the same help and support that my business and I were given. And as a female entrepreneur, I hope to help other small businesses, artists, and startups, get the boost and assistance that they need to get projects up and running.

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

I would look carefully at the history and scope of their business/project, talk to them to determine feasibility and practicality of specific project. Check into websites, web searches, have conversations. Learn from prospective borrower about the background of their business/project and what they hope to achieve by getting Kiva assistance. Assess potential success/completion of project and ability to repay loan on time.
