Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

The WCDC envisions Wilkinsburg as a prosperous, healthy, and growing community regarded for its strong business district and neighborhoods, historic charm, convenient location, and desirable quality of life. The WCDC hopes to realize part of this vision by making financial support more readily available to local businesses.

What is the mission of your organization?

The mission of the WCDC is to promote the revitalization of Wilkinsburg through business and residential development, organizational and individual civic leadership, and ethnic and cultural diversity.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

The WCDC requires a meeting with the interested borrower and may require a copy of their business plan, and a copy of their appropriate licenses or certifications. Since our mission is based in Wilkinsburg, we will give preference to businesses in Wilkinsburg.
