Plinio's story

Meet Plinio!

Plinio is from rural community of Tamarindo in east Panama, a region that has been historically excluded from basic financial services. Plinio is a hardworking man known in his community for his responsibility. He has worked in agriculture all his life and has recently started a chicken and pigs raising microenterprise.

Plinio is applying for a Kiva loan to buy piglets and chicks, growing his small livestock microenterprise. With the funds, he will buy a round of chicks, piglets, and also feed. With the revenue generated from the chicken and pork sales, he wants to further support his family.

Plinio has repaid back a previous Kiva loan punctually, demonstrating his responsibility with his financial obligations.

Thank you for being part of financial inclusion in regions that have been historically excluded from basic financial services. In this photo, Plinio is with his life partner, Evangelia.
