Granos Aromaticos De La Cidra Community-Owned Bank is an association formed by the coffee farmers of a community that united to provide financial inclusion and keep their traditions.
Investing in crop maintenance is vital to ensuring coffee quality and production, but access to working capital is scarce in this region. This farming association is applying for a Kiva loan to support their coffee farming members. With the funds, this association plans to:
1. Provide working capital for farm maintenance: They can improve fertilization and coffee plantation renewal using traditional farming techniques. With this investment, they ensure healthier and more profitable harvests for their members.
