Martha
A loan of $950 helps to purchase materials that will optimize the renovation of her sugarcane processing plant.

Martha's story
Martha is a dedicated farmer from Caloto, Cauca, with 32 years of experience. She owns a two-hectare farm where she cultivates sugarcane at different growth stages, ensuring continuous and staggered production throughout the year. Martha processes her harvest in a small processing plant she built using bamboo and zinc sheets, making the most of available resources to transform sugarcane into derivative products in an artisanal and efficient way.
Martha is a single mother and lives with one of her three children in a house built on her land. Her older children work in various agricultural activities, supporting the family’s economy.
A loan of $3,823,296 COP will allow Martha to purchase materials to renovate her processing plant. This improvement will optimize the production of sugarcane derivatives, ensuring greater efficiency and higher quality in her products.
