A loan of $1,075 helps to purchase a motorcycle that will facilitate the transportation of her agricultural production to the processing plant.

Claudia's story
Claudia is an Indigenous farmer in Morales, Cauca, with 19 years of experience. She cultivates a two-hectare plot assigned to her by the Indigenous council, where she has planted over 9,000 coffee trees alongside 200 plantain trees, which help optimize soil moisture and protect her coffee crops from harsh weather conditions.
Claudia harvests her crops every three weeks, yielding over 700 kilos, which she then transports using an old cart to the processing plant located 25 minutes away. While the cart has been useful, its wear and the weight of the load make transportation increasingly difficult.
Claudia lives with her husband and three children in a house built on her land. Her husband plays a crucial role in managing the crops, helping her maintain a stable and high-quality production.
A loan of $4,386,719 COP will allow Claudia to purchase a motorcycle, improving the transportation of her harvest by optimizing time and reducing physical strain. In Colombia, motorcycles are an essential tool for farmers, as they facilitate the transport of supplies and products across challenging terrains, optimizing time and costs while improving access to markets.
