Shehnaz's story

Financial constraints alongside the want for a better life and good quality education for her 6 children are only a few but valuable factors that encouraged Shehnaz to start her business selling animals by taking a loan from Kashf Foundation.

Shehnaz is 50 years old and she is a married woman. She buys animals (baby goats and calves) at low prices, raises them and then sells them in the market at higher prices. She makes enough through her business to contribute to the family income. She also sells milk to generate an extra amount of income.

She needs to improve her business to bear her household expenses. For this reason she contacted Kashf Foundation and applied for a loan of PKR 90,000 to purchase more animals to increase her sales. She is very experienced and has good contacts in the market. With this loan she will expand her business and income level.
