Ngọc's story

Mrs. Ngọc, a 46-year-old ethnic minority woman in Vietnam, lives with her family in Cẩm Thủy district. She has one child currently in 7th grade who still depends on her

With over 20 years of farming experience, Mrs. Ngọc also takes on seasonal weeding jobs for local households. However, the irregular nature of this work makes it difficult to maintain a stable income, leaving her family among the low-income households in the area. This is her second loan from Thanh Hóa MFI, as previous funding has helped improve her family's living conditions.

With this loan, she hopes to invest in reforestation and forest maintenance by purchasing acacia seedlings. This would not only provide her with additional income but also help prevent soil erosion in her region. However, living in a remote area far from the town center presents significant challenges.

Looking ahead, Mrs. Ngọc dreams of a healthier, happier life for her family. She hopes to earn enough to support her child’s education.
