Emelia
A loan of $975 helps buy more grains to stock up for the upcoming season.

Emelia's story
Emelia is a 42-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and five children in West Mamprusi district in Ghana. With her previous Kiva loan, she bought additional grains to increase her stock. She used the profit she earned to reinvest in her business. Emelia is requesting another loan to buy more grains to stock up for the upcoming season. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her family's daily needs.
She will repay the 'social interest' on her second loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED business mentor, leading sessions to teach less experienced local women how to become successful entrepreneurs by developing their business acumen and sharing the lessons she learned from operating her business.
