Robinah
A loan of $700 helps to purchase more fashionable clothes for resale.

Robinah's story
Robinah is 37 years old and lives in the town of Kabuusu in the Makindye region of Uganda. She is married and has two children who are all currently in school. For the past seven years, Robinah has been working hard to manage her boutique, which sells all kinds of adult clothes, like shirts, dresses etc.
To help expand her business, Robinah has requested a loan of 2,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more fashionable clothes for resale, to help Robinah generate greater profits, and to provide some basic necessities and food for her family. Robinah hopes that in the future she will be able to become a powerful businesswoman and own a big shop in town.
She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program. This program primarily serves small group members like her who do not have collateral for commercial loans; but do have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
