María José's story
Maria Jose is 23 years old, in a common-law relationship, and has two daughters, ages 3 and 1. Her husband works at a shrimp farm. They live in Bellavista, a place surrounded by lots of vegetation with honest and hard-working people dedicated toagriculture and the sale of their products.
She is a hard-working woman who seeks a way to earn her resources and with them help her husband to support their family. She has a business raising chickens. She has some pens where she puts the chickens. She buys young chickens and she keeps them for a while until they have an adequate weight and then sells them to merchants who come to buy from her house, or, she butchers them and sells them by the pound or whole to neighbors in the area.
This loan is to buy food and medicine for the chickens.
