A loan of $550 helps to purchase more green vegetables to sell.

Sylivia's story
Sylivia, 45, is married and has four children, all in school. She lives in the town of Gayaza in the Gayaza region of Uganda, and for the past 12 years she has worked hard to manage her grocery store, where she sells vegetables.
To help expand her business, Sylivia has requested a loan of 2,000,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more green vegetables to sell and will help Sylivia generate greater profits.
Sylivia's goal is to provide basic needs for her family and eventually build a house of her own. She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program that primarily serves small group members like her who do not have collateral for commercial loans but do have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
