Loan's story
Loan, age 59, has dedicated her life to hard work and perseverance. As a single mother, she raised her children into adulthood through sheer determination and resilience. Today, she lives with her son’s family in a rural area of Nong Cong District, where she continues to engage in farming. She has made her living in this manner for more than 30 years.
For more than three decades, Loan has been cultivating rice and raising livestock. Her earnings have only been enough to make ends meet. She was able to provide for her children and promote their growth and education.
With new goals in mind, Loan plans to expand her livestock business by raising a few breeding cows. By selling their calves, she hopes to increase her income and improve her family’s standard of living. However, lacking the necessary capital to invest in this venture, she has turned to Thanh Hoa Microfinance Institution, of which she has been a loyal client since 2013.
Loan remains optimistic about the future. She believes that within a year, her cattle will grow strong and healthy, thus allowing her to generate additional income for her family.
