This group comprises five women. They live in the same neighborhood with a strong social connection that sparked the formation of their group in December 2017. Their main business activity is commerce.
Mariama, standing on the far left in the photo with her hand raised, is the group's representative. She is 22 years old and married, without children.
With this loan, Mariama plans to purchase sheep and feed to fatten them. Once they have matured, she will sell them at the weekly markets in the area.
With her profits, Mariama will be able to meet her family's needs, and also save to grow her business.
