Mrs. Thơm, 44, is a single mother of two school-aged children, living in a small house in the remote mountainous region of Cam Thuy District. She also cares for her elderly mother, whose health is frail.

As the primary breadwinner, Mrs. Thơm juggles multiple roles: working as a hired vendor, farming, and raising livestock to supplement meals and income. Despite her efforts, the family's life remains precarious.

To secure a better future, Mrs. Thơm plans to invest in planting acacia trees to replace the ones already harvested and sold for timber. To start this project, she applied for her first loan from Thanh Hoa MFI. She hopes that in five years, when the acacia trees are ready for harvest, her family’s income will improve significantly, allowing her to support her children through university.
