Yiriwa Group's story
Farima is 45 years old, widowed, and the mother of eight children between the ages of seven and twenty-four. Of these children, four of them are attending school and live in a rural community in Mali.
Farima is the group representative holding the animal in the photo.
Farima's dream is to ensure her children's well-being while being determined to grow her business. She plans to increase the number of sheep she has by purchasing more of them.
Because of her unfavorable living conditions, Farima has asked for financial support from RMCR to develop and promote the quality of her sheep-raising activity.
Farima makes her purchases and sales at the local market and surrounding areas on a cash basis. With a projected monthly profit of 20,000 Fcfa, she sees the business as profitable. Having been in the business for 22 years, she often encounters problems such as animal deaths and theft.
