Good Hope Sgbl Group's story

Mary, one of the newest members of Good Hope SGBL, began her journey in the bar and restaurant industry over a decade ago in Lusaka.

In 2019, she was determined to continue her entrepreneurial path by opening a bar and restaurant. She has steadily grown her business by building a strong reputation and earning the loyalty of her customers. However, she recently encountered a setback when her establishment experienced a break-in, resulting in the loss of several assets and stock.

To recover and replenish her bar to meet ongoing demand, she sought assistance from Agora Microfinance. The purpose of applying for the loan is to buy 600 crates of bear and chafing dishes to meet outside catering needs.

Please note that 9 members got their loans at disbursement time, but in the picture, we have 10 members. One member for some reason didn't get the loan. However she will get it in the next cycle.
