Nhan's story
Nhan is 51 years old. She has been a farmer for 30 years. Now she also farms short term season rice on 13 hectares of land. She could collect 2.5 tons of rice per hectare. The crops will be sold directly to her local middleman who buys from her village.
Aside from this rice farming, Nhan also has another plot of farming land around two more hectares to grow corn. She could spend around 90 days just picking up the corn. She could get around five tons per hectare of corn to sell on the market.
To make her rice get enough water all the time, she asks
to borrow 13,500,000 Khmer Riel (KHR) to drill a well that will be installed with a Solar Panel System for rice farming business.
