Kotognogontala Group's story

Boubou lives in a village in Mali with his wife and their three children aged from four to twelve years old, including two who are in school. He has worked in breeding and has been fattening sheep for more than 10 years. As such, he buys thin or younger rams, gives them good quality livestock feed or buys pregnant ewes, waits for them to give birth before selling the lambs a few months later at the surrounding market. Boubou aims to grow his business which he is so passionate about, and, in order to achieve this objective, he wanted to turn to partners allowing him to obtain additional financing. The income generated from this activity allows him to meet the needs of his family.

Boubou is the one who holds the sheep's rope as well as the lamb in his arm in the photo.
