Manantiales De Vida Community-Owned Bank
A loan of $3,950 helps to provide working capital for farmer members of the community-owned bank to purchase farming supplies.
Manantiales De Vida Community-Owned Bank's story
In El Tenchón, a rural farming town in the mountains of Honduras, most families rely on agriculture, cultivating corn and beans. The Manantiales de Vida Community-owned Bank (Life Springs in Spanish) is an association of dedicated farmers that, despite being hardworking, perseverant and united, have limited access to working capital for their farmers.
Today, Manantiales de Vida Community-owned Bank is applying for a loan to provide working capital for farmer members of their community-owned bank, so they can buy seeds, farming equipment and supplies to better prepare for the next planting season.
This loan can transform the lives of the beneficiary members of this association, strengthening the local economy, contributing to food security and building a brighter future for the community of El Tenchon. Thank you for contributing to their dream of progress!
