Noong Luong 164 Group's story

Ngoan is a married woman living with her family in a remote commune of Dien Bien province, Vietnam. Her childhood was associated with hardship and deprivation; she dropped out of school at the secondary level because her family could not afford for her to go to school.

She has been farming since she was a child and now continues to maintain it with her husband as the main source of family income. Her diverse agricultural activities include growing rice and raising poultry. She has been rearing chickens for 15 years. She started with the desire to expand her husbandry business by buying more chicks and food for chickens with this loan and support from the Anh Chi Em program and Kiva lenders. Profits from this investment in the future will allow her to buy more poultry and livestock she wants to try raising and buy some essential stuff for her family.

After all, she hopes all of her efforts will help her family have a more prosperous life. In this photo, she is standing in the right corner and wearing a yellow T-shirt.
