Ang Cang 144 Group's story

The woman who stands on the right in the photo is La. She lives with her husband in a stilt house in Dien Bien – a northwest mountainous province of Vietnam. The locals mainly work as farmers, and agriculture is the main source to earn income for them.

Every day, La and her husband work hard in many agricultural activities such as cultivating rice, coffee and raising some farm animals. With many years of experience in raising pigs, her pigs grew up fast and were very healthy. To scale up her breeding, she wants to invest in raising pigs by buying more piglets but she lacks capital. With a good repayment history, La took her 12th loan from the Anh Chi Em program to buy piglets and food for pigs.

The profit from the investment will be used to reinvest in raising pigs. Currently, she hopes that her first two children will have a stable income and that her youngest child will attend school fully.
