Aisha

Aisha's story

Aisha is 47 years old and lives in the town of Kabuusu in the Kabuusu region of Uganda. She's married and has four children, one in school. For six years, she's been working hard managing her boutique, which sells all kinds of adult clothes, like shirts and dresses.

To help expand her business, Aisha has requested a loan of 2,500,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda to purchase clothes to sell, helping her generate greater profits and buy basic needs for her family. She hopes to build rentals for businesses.

She's a member of BRAC's Microfinance Program, which primarily serves small group members, like Aisha, who don't have collateral for commercial loans, but do have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
