Isatu's story
Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 35-year-old Isatu from Masingbi branch. She is a married businesswoman with 3 children between the ages of 6 months and 16 years old, two of whom are currently attending school. She started this business to take care of her family.
Isatu runs a retail business and sells raw rice to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 10 years. She says that her challenge is the increase in prices of goods in the market.
Isatu has requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more raw rice to increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family. In the future, she would like to expand to a larger scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
