Maria Ines's story
Maria, 58, lives with her family in the parish of Cahuasqui, province of Imbabura in norther Ecuador. She is a homemaker and works in agriculture. She cultivates land belonging to the family and works as a day laborer. Every day she gets up very early to be able to do crop farming and at this time she grows beans and avocado. This activity allows her to earn an income to support her family.
Maria is applying for a loan to buy manures, fertilizers, fungicides and hire workers for maintenance of her crops and to provide them with optimum care. This is so production is not adversely affected and geared at achieving a quality harvest to sell the crops at a good market price.
Maria is very grateful for the support as this is her main source of income.
