Nariste
A loan of $3,100 helps to purchase seedlings to grow organic raspberries.
Nariste's story
The lovely Nariste sends greetings from Kyrgyzstan, and thanks Kiva and its lenders for the financing she received earlier. Now, with the aim of further developing her business, she has turned again to Bai Tushum Bank, this time for a loan of 265,000 som (KGS), to buy seedlings of a particular variety of raspberries, which she will raise organically.
Nariste is a married mother of two. She received a secondary education, and is goal-oriented and courageous by nature. She has been raising livestock and growing crops since 2017, as her main contribution to the family income. Thanks to Nariste's hard work and her husband's help, her farm presently consists of four cows and a 3.0-hectare plot of land on which she intends to grow raspberries.
The income generated by the loan will help raise the farm's productivity and, consequently, the income it brings in. Nariste is hoping to achieve her desired result and create a better life for her lovely children.
