Aminata's story
Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 48-year-old Aminata from Waterloo 1 branch. She is a married business woman with three children between the ages of 11 and 33 years. Two are currently attending school. She started this business to take care of her family.
Aminata runs a retail business and sells groundnuts to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 19 years. Aminata says that her challenge is the increase in prices of goods in the market.
She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more groundnut to increase her business. Aminata says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family. In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and KIVA for their support.
