A loan of $5,500 helps a small accounting office to expand and be able to provide more services to more clients.
Mayra's story
I am Venezuelan and a graduate as a public accountant with a specialty in costs in my country. This is a profession that I have practiced for more than 10 years. Since I was very young, I have been passionate about numbers, analytical thinking, and dealing with people. Since I arrived as an immigrant to the state of California, I ventured into various professions - such as cleaning and food preparation - in restaurant chains where I l met immigrants like me with different cultures and nationalities. Eventually, I was able to return to my profession and I was able to contribute my knowledge to small companies that wanted specialized advice. My clients were largely Hispanic people who owned small businesses who wanted a projection of their sales and expenses so they could prepare for the future and make the right decisions. I realized that many Hispanic businesses need professionals who can provide them with more in-depth advice focused on their type of business at an affordable price. So, I started a project where, in addition to basic accounting, the business owner can obtain more detailed and timely information with financial reports created to their specifications, since my goal is to provide a system that includes the accounting part, payroll and preparation of additional taxes, financial reports such as Cash Flow Reverse, OPS report, among others, so that clients will continue to grow and improve their administrative management, providing them with timely and quality service.
