Karla Estefania's story
Karla Estefania and her family live in Montecristi, a place known for is handicrafts made from straw, wicker, wood, and piquigua fiber, and for its fine straw hats, called Panama hats, which are famous throughout the country and abroad.
Karla Estefania sells fish by the pound from her home, and takes orders for home deliveries. She works from Monday through Saturday. In her free time, she offers a variety of clothing at street fairs in her city, and makes flower arrangements and decorations for all kinds of social occasions. In the afternoons, she prepares and sells hamburgers, french fries, and sandwiches.
She leaves her merchandise on credit, and collects every eight days.
