Mugwathi Poultry Farmers Self Help Group's story

The lady in the photo is Margaret. She is 54 years old, married and blessed with three children. She is a member of Mugwathi Poultry Farmers Self Help Group which joined Hand in Hand Eastern Africa and has benefited from enterprise development and financial management training.

She sells vegetables and does vegetable farming. She is borrowing a Kiva loan to buy more vegetable stock so as to meet her customers’ demands hence more income. She will, therefore, be able to provide food and clothing for her family and pay education fees for her children.

She is very grateful to Kiva and their lenders for the help and support, and promises to repay promptly.
