A loan helped buy rice seed, fertilizer, and gasoline to improve her crop.


Channa's story

Channa M. lives in Sdau Kanlaeng village, in Kandal province. She and her husband, Chhum Chhoeun, are farmers who own a piece of land to cultivate rice and vegetables, to earn for living. They face an obstacle because they do not have rice seeds. Additionally, their field is infertile and far from an irrigation system.


In order to solve these problem, Channa decided to ask for a loan to buy rice seed, fertilizer, and gasoline to pump water to support the field to make her crop more productive. She is 41 years old and the mother of two children who attend the local school. Her husband is shown in the picture with her.
